mopping, stripping and/or finishing floors, cleaning areas requiring use of ladder, operating heavy cleaning equipment, rodent and pest control and moving furniture or classroom building materials Job Description This position will write work orders, as appropriate, climb ladders for routine maintenance duties, wash windows and overhead transoms, move heavy furniture or trash carts, and wet mop stairways, landings and other large areas.
The Custodian will strip and finish floors, conduct minor maintenance duties, wash light fixtures, operate industrial power cleaning equipment and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Ability to climb ladders to reach high places including replacing ceiling light bulbs, move heavy furniture, lift heavy boxes (50 - 75 pounds), operate heavy cleaning equipment, and ability to mop extensive area.
Possess organizational skills and ability to work well with others.
Preferred Qualifications Prior related job experience (1 - 2 years).
Training or prior experience in use of cleaning equipment and job functions.
Risk management (Blood-Borne Pathogens, Personal Protective Equipment, Ladder Safety, etc) and safety training, trained and certified in Fork Lift operations.
