1K a year Job Description The Associate Director of Special Events will serve as project manager for events for Saint Mary's Division of Advancement.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Alumnae Relations and Advancement, the associate director will work in cooperation with administration within Advancement on the development of multiple events.
The position will also implement and maintain an alumnae/student networking platform.
This is a fully on-site position.
Job Duties Assist in the planning and management of alumnae/donor events for reunion, general alumnae events, the comprehensive campaign, and stewardship activities.
Examples of duties include:
Creating invitations, and other event materials Developing online event registration forms Promoting events on social media Generating event formulary Tracking invitations and RSVPs Coordinating external vendors and staff at off-campus venues Assisting in the creation of an annual calendar of Advancement events Write scripts or narratives for special events, or other projects, as assigned.
Implement and maintain a new alumnae and student networking platform.
Collaborate with various College offices on development and launch of this new tool As part of the Advancement team, serves on committees and staffs events.
Minimum Qualifications A college or university degree Three years of professional experience, ideally with some special event coordination Excellent writing, editing, interpersonal, and organizational skills required Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and discretion when dealing with College constituencies Ability to direct and manage multiple activities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications; familiarity with social media platforms; and basic graphic design skills Understanding of, and appreciation for, Saint Mary's mission Preferred Qualifications A writing style that reflects creativity and enthusiasm The ability to work independently within a fast-paced Advancement program A commitment to working collaboratively with other staff members Extraordinary attention to detail High energy level, self-motivated.
Goal and task oriented.
A solid understanding of, and commitment to, highest professional event planning standards Understanding of social media platforms and social networking.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
