Associate Director, Military and Veterans Affairs

Your work as theAssistant Director in the Office of Military and Veteran Affairs will do just that!This position elevates the University of Notre Dame as one of the nations best universities for veterans, military service members, ROTC students, and their families.
In this role, you will create, organize, and monitor interconnected projects that advance the mission of theOffice of Military and Veterans Affairs (OMVA).
You will also be responsible for developing strategic guidance, deciding relevant objectives, resolving higher-scope issues, problem-solving, and coordinating cross-project activities, strategically enhancing the operations of the OMVA while increasing the bandwidth of the Director of Military and Veterans Affairs to focus on high-level priorities.
This is a hybrid-optional position, with up to two days remote per week if desired.
The Associate Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of OMVA and executing a broad range of activities including (but not limited to):
The Notre Dame Warrior-Scholar Project, an academic program designed to prepare service members for the pivot from the battlefield to the classroom OMVA-sponsored student support and pathway programs, including the Naval ROTC Preparatory Program, Host Family Program, and RouteND Course development and logistics support for national security innovation related courses, programs, lectures, seminars, conferences, and initiatives Comprehensive performance data that measure impact, provide decision-making reporting on program strategy, effectiveness, and enhancements Stakeholder engagement, management, and stewardship; relationships may include, for example, senior defense department officials, NDAA, Warrior-Scholar Project, VetLinkService to Schools, and volunteer University leaders, etc.
Annual newsletter, marketing, communications, and social media campaigns Administration and supervision of student staff.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
